We have got powerful Yantra in the peedam of Moolasthanam, i.e. the Moola Hayagraham. Hayagriva Yantra has many Mahamantras of Hayagriva, Lakshmi Narasimha, Lakshmi Varaha, Rama and all great mantras are there.
At the end of the last Dhalam of the Yantra, we have a mantram called Mantrarajan that is dedicated to Narasimhar
Ugram Veeram Mahavishnum
Jwalantham Servathomukam
Nrisimham Beeshanam Badram
Mritym mritym Namam yaham
This is very great Mahamantra.
This is always inscribed in any Yantra. We frequently perform Sahasranama Archana for Lakshmi Hayagriva. Lakshmi Hayagriva Sahasranama is a very peculiar Sahasranama which is being recited in the temple frequently.
The temple is without the rajagopuram, which is the main entrance of the temple. Only a Sala karam is there in which we have got a Sodha Lakshmi Hayagriva Perumal. Upon entering the shrine there stands the Dwajastambam.
This temple has been built and consecrated according to Pancharatra Aagama. There are two Vaishnava Agamas. One is Sri Pancharatra Aagama and other is Vaikanasam. Sri Pancharatra Aagama has been given by Hayagriva himself. It has been given as Upadesh only by Hayagriva swamy.
Lets go through the temple. There are five idols of Hayagriva here. Moolabheram, Urchavabheram, Yoga Hayagrivia (Yogabheram), Theerthabheram and Kavuthugabheram that is the small idol Hayagriva.
Then we have got Lakshmi Narasimhar, small idol of Lakshmi Varagasamy, Rama, Lakshmana, Seetha, Anjaneya, Navaneethakrishnan, Rukmani, Sathyabama and Venugopala and small idol of Krishna on Banyan leaf Vatapatrasayee, Krishna with his holy feet on his mouth.
